Walking tours depart from Main Street Station of downtown Richmond by APPOINTMENT. Explore Shockoe Bottom and the African Burial Grounds. Highlights of the tour include the Farmers Market (black entrepreneurship), the Richmond Slave Trail (second largest trading district of the enslaved in the United States) and points identifying classical periods of African history and culture including the Tekhen Monument (built by African hands) and the Egyptian Building.
